It's like a new dress, or shoes.. you rip off the tags and put it in your closet and say you've had it for years. I actually have had an extra tort of 2 for awhile before hubby realized they were there. I hate clothes but I love torts!!

A tort that may reach 200#?

I'm thinking even the most unobservant spouce might notice a tort the size of a riding lawnmower, eventually...otoh, if you refer to the sully as "your new automatic lawnmower, baby!" Hubby just might not squawk much! :p

I am on the same page (clothes vs torts)!
Glad he is doing better, but of course he would be with your care...

I love it when they're not very observant, the things you can get away with! :D

Have you kept sulcatas before Yvonne? You may have just stumbled on to a species with an addictive power like no other...

Congrats on the new addition, and good luck hiding it from hubby!

I don't have a spouse, but I do still live with my dad... He hasn't noticed yet that I got a second corn snake, or that I have a hermit crab, and he didn't know about my second tarantula until it died (he was standing there as I cleaned out the container, and I couldn't not explain why I had a vial of dirt and spider webs in my room... lol). I love it when they're unobservant...

LOL my boyfriend says if I bring one in, I have to take one out. This week I brought in 3, and none are leaving. Its a good thing he loves bearded dragons so much. I just make room for him to add a new addition and he forgets about the torts.

We are actually house shopping, the real estate agent must think we are nuts sine our requirements include adequate reptile rooms. LOL
