Hello, all , i have been reading all the post bye Tom and other knowledgeable members, and think i got it so far. Got my new Sulcata thursday,he was very active and alert ,gave him a warm water soak, then placed him or her in its new home...a enclosed 50 gallon tote with a plexy glass view top ( home made ) a 150 watt Che ceramic heat emitter on a 1000 watt temp controller, a 2 foot jump start t5 florescent light, and a 100 watt powersun uv, I have a digital hydrometer, working on getting the temp gun. Cold side 80-85.. hide-85-90 basking side 95-99, humidy only goes to 46 percent when I know it has to be more, there is beads of water on walls , and roof and light fixtures, it's very humid but only says 46 percent?? , any ways he ate right away , back yard grass and wheat grass and dandylion , catucus pad maziur la, ( he eats around this stuff lol) ill be getting original soon! He has drank water frim his bowl then fouled the water , went in to his his for the first time today, oh substrate is a mix of cypress and coo coo, couldn't find orchid bark, stays humid and hot, he seems to like it. ...Please tell me if i am doung something wrong or could do it a better way , thank you for all your knowledge, I learned it all from here!!
