Hi Todd:

Your pictures came out just fine. The tortoise is looking good, but I'm surprised he doesn't climb right out of that indoor habitat. The sides are quite low. But you did a nice job on making it big enough for the tortoise. How about covering over one of the corners so he can have a hiding place.

Yeah Yvonne, I took care of it....I ended up covering the side closest to the camera so he could hide. I'm making the sides higher as we speak, as well as fortifying my back yard so he can roam freely.

Yes, under the water bowl...I'm just realizing I might need to switch substrates. I've been reading about the cypress mulch being good. I got most of my info from Sulcata station. Now that I'm here I'm finding out some different husbandry techniques...so yeah, learning as I go.

very nive i have two sulcatas myself they are very small still fit in my hand. How old is yours? and how long have you had him

Only had him for a week, he's 3.5 years (or so) 9" @4 lbs. 12oz.

The enclosure looks great and so does the tortoise.

I would find a way to hang those bulbs directly over head so they point straight down. They are much more effective that way and its much safer. Those clamps always fail eventually.
