I am the proud new owner of a female Rhino Iguana (12 weeks old). Im in the process of getting her used to us. She is very flighty and hisses at us a lot. Is it best to not pick her up much or is it best to handle her as much as possible? Any suggestions? How long does it usually take to tame them?

Handle her and she will likely get used to you. It's not that they get tame, they will eventually relent and allow you to do more and more. Not all Iguanas act the same way. Some are much more passive than others. Feisty means healthy. That much is good. Iguanas run wild here by the tens of thousands here in south Florida. Rhinos seem to be cold hardy and you see more rhinos than regular greens. There is a bright red monster here by my job that lives on the canal bank that is every bit of 6' long. ( Dominant males will often be bright orange or red.) Handle her now before she can shred you with her claws and tail. It's not very pleasant when a big one bites you, either. Found that one out the hard way.
