So I wanted to make a thread including everything I've done and pricing.

So I am adopting a lopsided hatchling from a fellow TFO'er, diamondbp.

I have a 40 gallon setup for her so when she is inside. Anyways..

40 gallon tank - $80.00 (came with glass lid and tank overhead light.

Heat lamp and CHE lamp - $7.00 each.

The heat lamp is going to be a MVB.

MVB bulb $45 on amazon

CHE - 150 watt - $9.00 off eBay.

Eco earth - roughly $3 a block.

(I also mixed in about 2 shovels full of peat moss.)

Grass seed - annual rhy- $3.00 a lb
Terra cotta saucers 6" $1.47 each.

Also got a hide off amazon and hygrometers and thermometers.

Hygrometers - exo Terra - $3.99 off amazon

Temp guages - $7.00 at Lowes

Hide $10.00 off amazon
And I also got a small heat mat to go under it.

Heat mat - $10 off amazon.

So anyways. Here are some pics. Not everything is in the enclosure yet.

Add more coir and hand pack it down firmly.

Take the stick on hygrometers and throw them in the garbage. Get a digital one with a remote probe that you can move around. They are much more accurate and reliable in my experience.

Get a black dishwashing tub from Walmart, flip it upside down and cut out a door hole. These make a great humid hide, once they decide there are no sulcata baby eating monsters hiding in them.

Start saving your money. The baby will outgrow this little set up in about 3 months.

I have a digital on the way. And I ordered coco chips that I planned on mixing in with the coir. And I have a 2'x4' and a 2' x 6' vacant tortoise table as well as an outdoor pen ready for her. :)
