when I watch her closely, I let Petey petunia walk around the lawn. But she has become obsessed with trying to eat the dried dates from the annoying date trees in my yard. Obsessed with them. And it’s basically impossible to avoid. So I am wondering whether or not I actually need to stop her or if she is okay to eat these. I’ll post a photo oh what she goes for and then what they look like normally. They are from some type of date palm. The ones that are planted all around Vegas.

If it were a wild tortoise, it appears it would eat them if it came upon them. Personally, I think it would be OK to let it eat a few and see what happens.

However, I am saying that without knowing anything about the hardness of these dates. It seems that if they were too hard to manage, the tortoise would not keep trying to eat them.

What else is available to her to eat in that area?
