Ha that's alright Tom.

Poppies and carrots are closely related. If you pull a mature poppy out of the ground, you'll find roots that look like a skinny carrot. I can't remember if I spread any seed last year. I guess I'll have to wait until summer.

Not vinca. No purple flowers later in the year. This one also has a rounder leaf.
I would still keep it out of the tort enclosure. I am not plant expert, just enjoy gardening and have seen more than 1 type of vinca ground cover being sold in nurseries. I'd be cautious at least until proven wrong

Thanks. These actually aren't in tortoise enclosures. Just curious about what I have on the property. I wish it were vinca. So pretty when it flowers. I've planted a couple of varieties here on slopes to prevent mudslides.
