Since there is so much ID'ing going in, I figured I'd take my chance as well. This is Herbie.

Okay, that should be enough pics I hope! But I've got more if need be.

Thanks 'weezy, I know he's a Ibera. Glad I got a response!

Anyone know more detail, like More so geographical I guess. I got him from Tortoise Shack in FL.

There's no certain way of knowing where a captive born tortoises geographical origin may be unless you have photos and information on the parents. Along with that, many tortoises of the same or related subspecies are often collected in the wild from different areas and brought into a few or one location for crating and shipment. In other words, especially in the case of Middle Eastern subspecies (which this is not, but), several subspecies are shipped together. In the case of Ibera, many of them have been imported from different locations within their natural range over the past 30+ years. Especially during the late 80's & early 90's when tens of thousands came in. Over the course of those many decades Ibera from all regions have been interbred in captivity, much like is happening with Middle Easterns now. The bottom line is that there are few "geographically pure" captive born Ibera available today. That makes pinpointing an origin of a captive born nearly (or completely) impossible. Based on the coloration and patterns of yours the parents were likely from somewhere in Turkey. The more southern Turkish races are typically very yellow and the northern most races are generally much darker and higher domed.

Thank you very much GB and everyone. That really gives me a better understanding about the Ibera. That's what type if info I was looking for. I can't wait to what she'll look like when she's fully grown.
