This Three-toed Boxie was sold to me as a female but i have never seen a tail like it; different than my males and females. maybe you guys can help, thanks.
Aw...poor little stumpy. How's she gonna' dig a nest with only one back foot? The tail is a bit long for female, but I'm pretty sure it's female.
I guess I shoulda' looked at the last picture before I made my stumpy comment. I see that she actually does have two back feet.
I have a female missing a back foot (a raccoon bit it off long ago) and she is able to dig a perfect hole and lay her eggs like nothing is different. I don't know how she does it but her nest is perfect every time. The first time after she lost her foot I was ready to help with a little spoon, but she didn't need it at all!
