Opinion valued on spots on shell

Hi, was hoping someone might be able to advise on the white spotting on the shell of my 3 year old Hermann. It's come on recently in the last few weeks. He seems happy and is eating normally but I want to rule out anything unpleasant. Any thoughts much appreciated.

Hard to see what you're talking about. Is it the spot right below the glare that the arrow pattern on the lower scute seems to be pointing to? That doesn't look like anything to be worried about.

Very common. Looks completely normal and nothing to worry about

I'll go further and say your tort's shell looks like it's in very good condition

Hi thanks for taking the time to give your opinion It's the white spotting on the bottom half of the shell. There are similar spots on the underneath too.

Ah you've made my tortoise blush Thank you. As the white spotting has come on fairly recently I just wanted to be sure.

I still cannot see anything to worry me.

You can post a picture of the plastron for us to check if you wish. Shell rot starts there usually, but I really don't see shell rot so far.

Sure I've also attached a picture of similar spotting on the rear of the shell
