I'm starting to build my outdoor enclosure! I'm so excited! I think I'm going to build a ramp in it but I was wondering whether you guys think the ramp would be better if it was built from rock or wood.

I would say that would depend on the tort along with what you like best to look at :D Both are equally good....rock I believe would be better as far as exposure and wear in the outdoor weather...

You have a Redfoot?

Using rocks for a ramp, would help trim nails and might be a bit more interesting. Don't forget plants like clumping grasses, hosta, etc.

Do you think that the platform it leads up to could be a big slab of rock too? I was just wondering if it would be too hot.. But I was planning on that being her basking spot

I'd like to see pics of the area. Might sway me one way or the other.
