I feed Misty (did I tell you I got a new puppy?) Taste of the Wild, Praire formula. She gets 2 cups twice a day, and I mix in a small can of Mighty Dog just to make it more tasty for her.

She has SO MUCH gas!!! I'm sure if you lit a match while she's sleeping the whole room would explode!

Any suggestions?

Does she gobble her food? I read once that if you slow down the eating (by feeding in a baffled bowl or placing objects in the bowl) they will have less gas. Or you could try feeding a food that is not so rich, or just try your TOW without the Mighty Dog.

Different foods agree or disagree with various dogs. The "best" food in the world is only the best for a certain percentage of dogs. The "best" food is an individual thing depending on the individual dog.

Personally I have had the best overall results with Purina Pro-Plan. Initially I crinkled my nose at the Purina name, but kept an open mind about it (barely). Over time I became a "believer". I've been using it for around 10 years now on my own dogs. Disclaimer: My wife works for Purina. However, I would still buy it if she didn't because of the results I have seen with it.

I base this on 16 years of experience with around 15 brands of food and 100's of dogs that I work with. You really see patterns when you have rows of 20 or 30 dogs in kennels side by side. Plus I got food seminars from all the major mfgs. back in my retail days.

One other tip: Beano. All Boston terrier owners know this trick. Put a couple of drops on the food each meal and it reduces the gas and somehow takes the smell out of it.

Thanks for the tip about the canned dog food, Edna. I had wondered if that were the problem. I think I'll go with the Beano until the case of canned food is used up. Thanks for that tip, Tom!

She's seven months old, going to be eight months Jan. 1st. She's my side-kick and faithful companion. I just love her to death.
