Just downloaded the torroiseforum app for the iPhone so I'm attempting to upload some photos to see if it works. Here are some shots of our Blacks today. Hope it works!

It works indeed. Good looking photos too. They sure do love bananas don't they? Mine go nuts. They even mow down the whole banana tree too.

Agreed they sure do. These beasts will just eat and eat. And I've gotta say, out of the countless species we currently keep and even those kept in the past, you simply cannot beat the behavior of these. Same with our Brown.

Yep. I concur indeed. I see more personality in my browns than the blacks. Don't get me wrong. All the manouria are just simply the absolute best personality of a tortoise. But my browns are more social and active than my blacks. Anytime you ever think of thinning any out, please let me know :D

Hi Chris:

I didn't realize that you also kept the Manouria. Do you have breeding success?

Hi Yvonne, our largest female black is proven and so is our female brown but neither have nested for us yet, they've done so for the previous owners. However, it seems that is all about to change, our female brown has started building this week.

I gotta get up with you guys soon. Just been swamped here between the animals and wedding plans. Hope all is well.

Oh cool. Gettin artistic with that shot!

I had my wedding last year and it was the most wonderful day ever... But I am so happy I'm not getting married this year! That stuff is so time consuming and it's over in a flash. Enjoy it, and if your turtles become too overwhelming, just let me know ;-)

Are they CB or wild caught? Do you care to say who used to own them. How much to they weigh? Sorry I'm just an inquizative person. Great mouth color, a sign of very good health. The scales on the front legs lay down nicely also. Thanks and good luck with the nesting Brown. I've been getting several emails about Browns nesting. I have eggs in the cooker and am hatching a mess of phayrei this week. Maybe ,can it be.....the year of the Mt.Tortoise. emysbreeder Vic

Thanks Vic. A friend of mine sent these to me to live here on the farm, I'd have to ask first before revealing his name (you know how sometimes people don't appreciate that). The Blacks have been breeding non stop here, and I literally mean NON STOP. They're doing absolutely excellent for me, I couldn't be more please with them. I took many videos, I'll edit them and post them at some point. My largest female is 68 pounds, the male slightly lighter and the other female slightly lighter than him. I forget exact weights on those two. I'm excited to see what will come from these guys, out of so many species, they are truly something special.

Oh and they are originally WC.
