Picture Frustration

I have pictures I want to post, but for some reason the hourglass just spins and spins and spins and spins when I click "Add Attachment". I really like it when others simply copy their pictures right into their message.......would like to just be able to do that.

Aaarrgghhh...........what am I doing wrong?!!!
