So i ordered a seed mix for Oliver and i want to plant it in his enclosure but i have orchard bark as substrate. Should i grow it in a terra cotta dish and put it in the cage? Whats the best way?

Get some sort of plastic container the shape of a casserole dish and drill drainage holes at the bottom or buy pots. Terra cotta dishes (I'm assuming you mean plant saucers) are not deep enough for a well developed root system. You can use plain topsoil (no fertilizers), coco coir, peat moss or a combination for soil. Grow it under artificial lights or a window sill until well established (approx. 6-8 weeks) then you can place the container in your enclosure sunk in the substrate, flush. Sprinkle seeds on top of soil and don't allow them to dry out. You can cover the seeds with a *thin* layer of soil but it isn't necessary (tiny seeds need light to germinate). When they've sprouted (usually by day 3) then water only when needed. Try to keep a fan on them every so often and under bright lights or they get leggy and fall over. Hope this helps (sorry if this was lengthy.. I'm going on the assumption that you're new to gardening).
