IMG_3479.jpegI just bought these succulents from a local pet store with a lot of reptiles and exotic animals. The store owner told me that they should be safe when I asked about chemicals.

My plan is to plant these in her enclosure. I understand that there’s a chance my tortoise will eat and kill them which is fine. My only concern is her eating them and getting sick. I did notice some perlite in the pot, but I can remove all that when planting.

I used an app to identify the plants, and it said that the plants are “Tree Stonecrop” and “blue echeveria”. Please let me know if there’s any danger to doing this.

I would remove the dirt and wash the roots and plant them in a mix of dirt from your yard and could add coconut coir to it. Then if you want them more for cover than food, plant them in small pots and bury the pot into the torts substrate.
Then check their safety on here. https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/
