Plastron rot

so last week i noticed rot in my russian's plastron, contacted the vet and she told me to apply betadine. these are the before one week and yesterday pictures, do you think its healing? any other suggestions on how to expedite healing please?

I'm not very good at saying if that is for sure shell rot, but it does look like it.

Shell rot is a fungal infection. Generally we recommend athlete's foot cream. I've heard it works very well.

That is old damage that happened a long time ago. It will take months or years to heal.

What substrate is the tortoise on? Avoid any peat or soil.

Fine grade orchid bark is best. Read this for all the current and correct care info:
