It looks like a Marginated Tortoise (Testudo marginata).

Such a great call on that one. If you didn’t have one, I’ll bet that photo would have been a bit of a mystery.

Yeah, unless you had a boat load you, you couldn’t have called it that quick. When I first saw the photo, without something in the photo for size context, it almost looked like a pardalis leopard tortoise that was super old and his markings had faded in the sun or something. My large male pardalis is the same shape, but certainly bigger. My gut, certainly was wrong!
