Not a Russian for sure . But on a side note that water bowl is no good for a tortoise. A terracotta plate is better you can get them from Wal-Mart or Home Depot for five dollars. Tortoises have flipped on there backs and died from them .
Looks like a hermanns tortoise to me to . If you post pictures of the under side the guys/ girls that keep these guys can tell what kind of Hermanns .

It's my understanding that age can be tough to determine if you don't have reliable info from the breeder. Tortoises grow at different rates- even sibling tortoises from the same clutch. Other factors like nutrition and UVB light play into it too. She's similar in size to my Hermann's, Elsa, whom we GUESS is about 5. But let's see what more experienced folks have to say!

There us no way of knowing for sure with out date of hatching . Sorry but if you really need a birthday we use the day we got them as the birthday . But your guess is as good as ours .

Definitely Hermann
And it's a subadult/young adult, could be anywheres from 3-7 yrs old would be my guess.
This species is so friendly, you will have an excellent pet!
Congrats!

Guessing from size of the tort in relation to your hands, it's a female, unless you have kinda tiny hands!

The best pet tortoise you can have!
