Please help my turtle's eye.

What did you do to assure that no infection set up deep in the tortoise? Did you leave the open shell open or did you seal the cracks closed? About how long ago was it that the injury "appeared" healed?

Oh it appeared healthy about three years ago.

Hmmm? Weird for sure.....let my peanut keep going over this.....I would continue to soak, flush the eye and also offer smelly tempting protein critters by tongs to try to keep the turtle strong during this time.....I would wonder if there is any low grade infection/bacterial going on within the turtle??

There seems to be a little bit of tissue ripped away when he opens.

Like he scraped his cornea? I would just keep doing rinses and soaks and making sure he's getting protein, etc. in him to keep him strong. Wiggly worms and smelly fruits like cantaloupe or bananas or strawberries will help him to eat.
