You do some of you prep your yards for your torts & how do you maintain them & keep bad weeds out? Do you do walk through & spot weed??? I do this now but my enclosure space is 20x20 so its not too hard.

I am pre-planning Harper's (11 month old sulcata) future out door enclosure for next summer in a space that has great light & good grass. I do however have a lot of "bad" weeds..... hence the reason for my rambling.

If I know it's bad, I will try to get rid of it. I don't otherwise do a lot of searching. I learned on here way back when I joined that most torts won't eat what is bad for them anyway. If you notice a bad plant and he eats it, get rid of it. If he leaves it along, so would I or at least not kill myself trying to get rid of it. Just cut the weed down when you mow the lawn.

I worry because we took about 30 oak trees out two years ago and now I have a good amount of mushrooms and I caught my russian eating one. Also have a lot of creeping charlie mixed in the grass.

Creeping charlie is fine. Mt torts devour that stuff. I just weed it out if I spot something I don;t in there growing.
