Puffing Noises?

Hello,
I've noticed that my Russian tortoise occasionally makes little puffing noises.
It sort of sounds like a tiny little sigh? I don't know how else to describe it.
While it is adorable, I am wondering what that means?
I don't want him to be uncomfortable or scared, if that's what the puffing means.
Thanks!

They make a little hissing noise when they suck their head into their shell. Is that what you're hearing? If so, its perfectly normal. :)

It usually means the tortoise got frightened, If I move without my tortoise thinking I will, she will make the same sound. It is perfectly normal! :)
