Pumpkin patch

These are two of my young Bells Hingebacks, trying to pick out which pumpkin they want.

"I am going to find the biggest bestest one of all!"

"Are there any hiding over there?"

Making like a pumpkin.

"Can I have this one, please?"

"Nice side and bottom.."

"Looks tall enough.."

"No, I want the stripey one! You get away from it!"

Yes, they are. I had been planning this photo shot for about a month now. I was in Lincoln shopping and drove by this tree with such lovely reddish leaves and a circle of fallen ones all around it on the very green grass. Was so very very pretty. I did my shopping and came back and bagged some up (enough to change out between several groups of tortoises). I fell for that tree, now I want one in my yard just like it.

Our leaves are starting to fall, but we don't have many that get pretty "fall" colors.

Awesome photos Jacqui! I am glad you are working with hingebacks. They are such an interesting, yet delicate species and I am someone who is as dedicated and passionate as yourself is devoting time to them.
