Looks like growth lines to me. Your Tortoise looks a little small for a year old Sulcata. What is the weight of your tortoise?
mmmmh stick around for 1 more year. That small at a year? Even more evidence to think it's not.
Nope, don’t worry about it. As long as you keep humidity up, the pyramiding won’t progress too muchdoes it look noticable?
just really frustrating not having my tortoise smooth.Nope, don’t worry about it. As long as you keep humidity up, the pyramiding won’t progress too much
I understand, but it sounds like your trying to fix it, that in itself you should be proud of.just really frustrating not having my tortoise smooth.
yeah im very aware of the proper care of maybeee a sulcata tortoise. hoping it doesnt get worseI understand, but it sounds like your trying to fix it, that in itself you should be proud of.
Your Tortoise is smooth, believe me.just really frustrating not having my tortoise smooth.
thats a great idea, but my tortoise would just knock it out.thanks for that i really might try it out now that i changed the substrate the carapace seems more moist.I saw something on someone's thread...maybe Donald's? I forget the owner's name. Anyway, after the tort "put himself to bed" the owner would put a wet washcloth on top of him to keep the carapace extra nice and moist throughout the night. Just one extra thing you could think about adding if you're that concerned.
