I have had my little Ollie for a month now. When I first got him his urates were like crystals, then I didn't notice anymore. Last week during his soaks I noticed thin urates it looked white and thin like hair. Today he did the same but had another that seemed thicker with a brownish color to it. Is this normal? I feed him organic spring mix little of kale and he has had clover from my yard.

Its not unusual to have color to the urates.

He needs much more variety in the diet. If you must use grocery store greens, favor endive and escarole, but use lots of variety. Then add some chopped grass, grass hay, or ZooMed Grassland tortoise chow for fiber. Start slow with the grasses. Chop the grass or hay up into tiny pieces and mix only a very small amount into the day's greens at first. Over time you can gradually add more and more.
