Why are there some posts I can't reply to?

Old threads are sometimes closed for further reply. For Sale threads can't be commented on.
It says I don't have permission to reply. Is that always or because I am not super active one the site?

It will apply to all members except for a moderator I suppose.
Make sure that you are properly logged onto our firum. You can read without being logged on.
