Should you lower/turn off the light when it is turning night? I heard you could mess up its sleep pattern or something, but the Rt's are doing fine w/ the light. Please help :)

Its my understanding you turn off the lights when you want then to sleep like you do with bearded dragons then turn them on again in the morning. Having a set light schedule keeps their bodies on track.

Yeah, Russians (unless hatchlings) don't need heat at night if your house is >60. So keep the lights on for 12-14 hours, on a timer. My male tort won't go to his hide until the light goes off, lol
