Should you lower/turn off the light when it is turning night? I heard you could mess up its sleep pattern or something, but the Rt's are doing fine w/ the light. Please help
Its my understanding you turn off the lights when you want then to sleep like you do with bearded dragons then turn them on again in the morning. Having a set light schedule keeps their bodies on track.
Yeah, Russians (unless hatchlings) don't need heat at night if your house is >60. So keep the lights on for 12-14 hours, on a timer. My male tort won't go to his hide until the light goes off, lol
