Well i got sick and tired of not being able to have any hostas in my redfoot enclosure due to the fact that they get eaten in a matter of seconds. I decided i would build a raised planter for the hostas that doubles as a hide. So i gathered some materials from my scrap pile and here is what happened next:
I decided to make it out of a rubbermaid tub and some nice treated lumber the a neighbor gave me.
I then built the base
Next i put the rubbermaid tub into the frame.
Finally i mixed some soil from my yard and a some peat moss and put into the planter inside the fenced portion of my enclosure.
I thought it would be cool to make it double as a hide so I put two boards at the base and into the ground. As you can see its already being put to good use.
Thanks for looking!
