Hi all!
Looking to get some opinions on what could have caused this shell damage and treatment recommendations. As you can see in this pic there are lighter little areas in between her plates that seem to be giving her discomfort when poked with a cotton swab. She lives outdoors so could have scraped across anything but it seems like a rather odd area for her to take that sort of damage. She has a ceramic heat lamp in her doghouse to keep things warm but it is placed at a safe distance above her with temperatures not exceeding above 90 degrees. As far as things I changed up in the last week, I gave the "rub coconut oil on shell" treatment that I have recently read about on the forum. Thanks!
