Red line down middle of shell

I checked on my tortoise today and when I flipped him over I found a unusual red line down the middle of its shell. Is this normal?

I don't see any red, but it's totally normal to see a pinkish/reddish hue in the areas between the scutes where new growth is happening. It's a sign of new growth which is a sign of good health.
