Red marks

Hi, I've noticed recently my young marginated has some red like sores, around his back legs an tail. I'm wondering if its from his substrate, I use hemp I bath him every day and dry him properly any ideas ??

As you can see he has red mark on his tail and one on his leg he always gets substrate up and around he's back legs even on this picture there substrate :-(

What are these red marks caused by on my torts tail n back leg? Substrate?

I read on tortoise trust hemp bedding is potentially harmful to tortoises due to the large splinters that can stick and get stuck in the tort. I'm no expert tho just thought I'd share what I had read hope your lil one gets better.

Also ur pic isn't showing up

it's on his right back leg the little red mark and the redness on his tail

Could it be a dye transfer from the red cloth in the background?

It looks a little like inflammation so if what that other member said about hemp causing splinters maybe u should switch to topsoil or coco coir. It probably doesn't feel good when he goes to the bathroom and his little pooper is inflamed
