Rojita ate and has been resting. She likes to observe my living room. She's alert and had a long soak. I'm worried about tonight though. She did this behavior a couple months ago too.

The vet said it seems like eye irritation, I don’t know? Said I could pick up some drops to give to Rojita. What do y’all think

She’s one week into the antibiotics the vet gave us for a whole month and this was her a little while ago outside :(

She's alert. 'Seems to be being a normal tortoise. Yes, her eyes are a tad watery, but she doesn't seem to be not feeling well or in any danger.
Is she eating ok?

She’s not wanting to eat anything that isn’t fruit or pellets. I don’t think she’s urgently unwell but I think she’s been consistently showing some signs of underlying issues. The bubbles in her mouth, the eye rubbing, the yawning fairly often. The intense head jerking she was doing the other night.

It’s not so much that she’s really bad but I worry if these things aren’t resolved soon that she could get worse.

Poor Rojita!
As you keep her in optimal conditions inside, she receives antibiotics, has some outdoor time when temperatures allow and is active, I can't think out what else can be done. You do your best and I hope she will get better.

You can talk to the vet about bubbles, maybe treatment can be adjusted.

hi, just letting folks know Rojita had more bubbles today. She usually lets a few out and then they don't happen or I don't notice them for some time. Shes been very active and eating, enjoying her outdoor space during the day and sleeping indoors. The vet let me know that she's out of town until mid May and I'm thinking at that point I'd have to decide if it's worth doing more invasive procedures to see what's going on in her lungs. I know this thread is long and most don't know what to say anymore but whatever advice is left would be appreciated on my part.

Thanks for updating the thread, I’m so glad she’s improving in other aspects, perhaps the bubbles will be the last thing to go, the fact she’s active and eating tells me there’s no harm in waiting to see your original vet if that’s easier for you🐢💚
