So I just pick this girl up. Am I correct in that she is indeed, a Russian? I'm thinking so has some beak problems..as well. She's big and heavy. How's she look?

Congrats ! Cute girl,She looks huge! The shell looks a little rough. I'm guessing the usual wc scarring that most of then have. She is defiantly a Russian though

She's huge and heavy! I'm planning on a vet visit asap but her beak is awful.

Yes, Russian and from the little I can see of the tail, looks to be a female. Does need a beak trim.

She was really stressed and I didn't wanna push it so sorry for rough photos. Plus it is really late so I wanted to put her away asap!

Congrats and you did right by getting her settled in as soon as possible. Post more pics later, when she's not so stressed.

Any extra suggestions rather than soaks every day for awhile, and beak work, maybe nail trims?

Congrats, she does need some tender loving care. I would trim the nails too.

Try real hard to get her on a good diet. She was housed all wrong from what I seen in your post from craigslist add. Its going to take some work to get her on the right path. Totally worth it though! Did I say I'm soooooo glad you got her :) :)

Oh I know what to feed! I have one already. Not sure what she's been being fed though.

Oh sorry :)well maybe just keep trying things and she'll start to eat something good for her.if you absolutely have to you can mix romaine lettuce with more healthy stuff and then slowly reduce the amount of Romain. Romain seems to be every tortoises favorite.

Congratulations on your new (what I believe) adult Russian female. I like her weathered shell. And with the beak trim she'll look just fine.

Nails I would leave alone unless extremely long and preventing her from normal motion. Just place a slab of slate stone and some cuttlebone and it might help out.

But I read you know your Russian:)

Good luck with her she's beautiful.

Yep, just feed her on a peice of slate and it'll trim right down! Cuttlebone (if she eats it) can help too. She looks like a little (Whoops, I meant big!) girl! :p Yes, her shell IS a little wonky :( but in a 'few'? years that could straighten right out (almost completely!)
Congrats on your new tort! :D I bet she's happy to be there already :p
I'm sorry, I didn't see your other thread, I'll have to look (I'll probably find all this missing info there, cause I was really confused!) ! Do you mind if I ask what happened to the little guy?
