Does the increased humidity in an enclosure to prevent pyramiding increase the risk of respiratory infection in a hatchling tortoise? Please forgive my ignorance if this question has already been answered elsewhere. Thank you.

Not if the temps are warm enough for the species that you have; basking area, other areas.
warm + humid= good.
cool + humid= bad.
warm + humid= good.
cool + humid= bad.
Only if the tortoise is allowed to get cold.
