I'll try my best.. im not the best at growing thingsIt sounds to me like your best plan of action is to grow your own grassed area, maybe with clover in it too, this will give you ample supply of food, then you can add what ever you can get from the grocery store to mix up the diet a bit.

I doubt it, but check the packaging, spring mix seems to be mostly varieties of lettuce but they bung in other things too.is it likely kale will be part of a spring mix?
