Russian Tortoise Strawberries

Hi everyone! How often can I feed my russian tortoise a few pinky nail pieces of strawberry? I rarely have them but when I do I want to let him have some more than once. Is it okay to give him a few pieces a few days in a row? Of course accompanied by his normal diet. He loves them!

It is hard to say. You will probably get people saying that zero strawberries is the only way to stay safe.

Whilst technically a few teeny tiny bits once a month or so wouldn’t do much harm, you do run the risk of him becoming a picky eater, like children, they get addicted to sweets, I’d hate for you to run into any trouble in that regard, it is generally best to avoid them altogether

Fruit are not good for your tortoise, so please try to resist giving him strawberry.
