I purchased that baby. It's now about 7 months old:

The baby is doing very well, Ben, and I appreciate getting him from you. He's growing like a weed.

No, that's the one bad thing about treating your tortoises as wild animals. They don't get ANY human interaction, hence they are pretty shy and scared of me.

Well Yvonne, I don't see that as a problem....a big ole head out or a funny tightly snugged in head....to each their own....lovely shell

What a cool surprise! You would think with the extra scutes it might be female but that unusually long incubation period should produce a male? I'll be interested in seeing what it turns out being. It's got great coloring.

Very nice Yvonne. Light colors so far. For comparison here is his/hers 10 month old sibling I have had since he was 2 months old.
Split scutes as well but the tail is huge even at this early stage, possible male.
