sad day for cindy turtle

Bad news, little cindy is staying overnight at the vet's office tonite. She started straining to lay yesterday afternoon, I stayed up all night with her while she cycled between resting & straining.
Good news is she passed one egg on her own after I left the vet, but still has 2 huge ones to go before interventions begin in the morning.

cindy gets to come home today! yay, but she still hasn't laid the last 2 eggs, after calcium, fluids, soaks, and some head scratching, she is home for some r&r and will update the vet on monday.

Hopefully once things settle down, she can settle down and lay those eggs long before Monday rolls around. Have you tried doing Lamaze breathing with her?

So happy to find her laying an egg today, it was around 2pm during a light rain, overcast day 78F outside. The egg looked good, a little overcalcified on one side, but other than that nice looking. Only one to go now, and Cindy looks good too.
