I have a gaggle of children, a curious 2yr old dog and 2 giant house cats...so im interested in what you all may use(if anything) as a cover for indoor tort tables. I made one this morning out of galvanized 1/2inch landscape cloth and while its secure im worried about it getting too hot. my plan is to use a CHE over the hide on a thermostat and then an MVB over the basking side. any thoughts?

Maybe you could use a wood sheet and cut a portion of it out and fill it with plexi glass. That would look good, but might be a bit difficult for people with not much building skills.

I built mine with very tall sides about 2' and a hinged front that folds in half. It allows me to see in and when I need to reach in I fold down the front. It was easier than putting a top on it. I don't know if it will keep the cats out, but just a thought.
