Seed Mix for CDTs

Theodore Payne, a supplier of California native plant seeds, has a tortoise mix. It's a little on the pricey side, but I'm putting in an order.

I think it's that it's rare stuff is the thing. Theodore Payne specializes in the kind of seed for the kind of plant that you can't get at the home improvement store. I volunteer at a refuge and I've sort of fallen in with the horticulture department so I'm developing an interest in native plants. I think it will be fun to work on an enclosure that is close to natural for a CDT. That's hard without access to some special providers like Theodore Payne. I'm also going to a lecture and native plant sale in a couple of weeks. It's pretty hard to get anything except sage any other way. The enclosure I'm starting now will be sort of midway. It will probably be a year or two before I get started on a strictly native enclosure.
