Shell Growth

Hi all,
Pearl is growing up so fast, and seems to be happy and healthy. This being my first tortoise, I wanted to show a photo and asked any of you more experienced owners if her shell appears to be growing properly, just to make sure:

Thanks!! I'm so happy to hear that! Her shell is beginning to look a bit different now that her "big girl" shell appears to be forming, so I had to make sure everything was good

Pearl is 5 months old now — I can't believe I've had her for almost half a year already! She seemed to stay the same size forever, then about a month - month and a half ago she just sort of hit a growth spurt or something. Her appetite increased a bit too! Even people who don't see her very often noticed that she was getting bigger. It almost made me a bit nervous at first (I'm kind of paranoid with Pearl since I still feel so new to the tortoise scene), but a healthy appetite and lively personality must mean she feels happy, so I've come to enjoy it

Sounds like a good idea! I think I'm going to get something to compare her to in the photos, like maybe a tennis ball or something, to just sort of gauge her growth.
