Hey guys!

So when I got Alaska a week today, she had a bit of white markings on her shell, however a week on and it seems these white marks have spread to other parts of her shell. I was wondering if you guys could take a look and tell me what it is (shell rot??) And how to fix it?

Many thanks,
Kieran and Alaska

I'm no expert, but that looks like fungus to me. If it is, you can treat it with an over-the-counter fungicide. Shell rot can easily be treated with betadine, but I'm not convinced that's shell rot.

It’s not shell rot. Definitely.

That tends to occur on the plastron rather than the upper shell.

What I can see is older damage and new growth. The new growth will go darker in time. It is likely the old damage will become less obvious with time.

So I don't need to do anything special? Lol
