Soon to be condo. This will double also as a stand for our sons red eared slider. So I am making it 8' long do it will fit behind our couch in the middle of the room. Also making it 36" y'all with wheels, the height of the couch and 2' wide. The inside will be 12" deep so that I can put down half a foot of substrate. That will be a mix of play sand, choir hair and wood chips. Will have basking light on one end, uvb light and hide out. All of it will be covered in old barn wood for a rustic look. I will share photos as I go. Here is my progress in a couple of hours yesterday. Thank you.

Sounds like it will look real nice. However, 2 feet wide is not very big for an adult RES and not sure what the other resident will be. Also, you cold leave out the sand, it can cause impaction and not needed.

The other is my Russian tortoise in the bottom section. The top got the RES I think should do well. She was in a small tank when w got her. She is cuter currently in a thirty gallon. So this will be slightly wider and much longer. Also, w are limited to size. According to calculations, the RES should have a 150 gallon tank and I think this will come out to be close to 200?. Not positive on that though. Thanks. Will share more photos soon. Done with frame and plywood. Note for the barn wood.

AlRight. Got the barn wood and scream fine on one end and the wood half done on the front. Coming along nicely I think. Thanks.

It loks nice, but to small for your Russian in my opinion. I would make the tortoise area a foot deeper.
