What does this have to do with skin sloughing? How do you know the younger one is a female? There are numerous threads on this forum about why it is wrong to keep 2 torts in the same enclosure, especially inside. Do some reading, please. My female Russian 4-5 yrs old. They are outside. I got the female from Petco 3 years ago. They showed me how to tell the gender by the shape of the tail. Having more than two might be a problem. They get along fine. I didn't know my post was inconsistent with label. You should never keep tortoises in pairs.
Your initial posting talks about mating your 2 torts, at least that is what comes up on my screen. They are outside. I got the female from Petco 3 years ago. I was asking about what foods could cause the skin to slough due to vitamin enriched or lack of diet.
There is no food or vitamin deficiency that would cause the skin to slough. That would typically caused by a vet injecting them with something that they shouldn't have.My female Russian 4-5 yrs old. Shares habitat with male 10+ yrs.
