Once i posted pics of some hatchlings which i suspected they were nabeulensis. (tunisians) Some asked me to provide pictures of the parents. so here you go..i think this is mummy!

Can you confirm it is a tunisian, and that she's a she!?

I'm a newbie, so I can't really help, but I'll give your thread a bump! I notice the Hermann's section of the forum hasn't had much activity in a while- not sure why.

Tunisians are pretty rare, my guess would be that these are Antakyan Greek tortoises (Testudo graeca antakyensis)?

Oh, and yes, it does seem to be a female.

I thought that they might be tunisian spur thigh testudo graeca because where i live (Malta), there used to be lots of tunisians bringing them here for bartering or selling. this made them a quite common species in Malta. as a matter of fact i have second generation hatchlings.

Moreover, these tortoises do not hibernate (which is something that tunisians dont do), that's why i suspect they are nabulensis.

I think you are correct. I would say Tunisian as well.

Looks like nabeulensis to me. They are like colourful Egyptians.
