Hi, Turtle peeps.
Three out of the 4 spray bars in my turtle's tank have developed longitudinal cracks, so they squirt tiny streams of water in crazy directions. Is this something I can repair or should I just replace them? They're not very old at all. My first thought is always good old super glue, but I don't want any to squish out INSIDE the bar because that will interfere with inserting the next bar.

A very gentle & experienced set of hands is required to just open the gap if it's going to open w/o splitting open. If you can do that, you are golden! Use a toothpick to deposit the glue and a finger in a baggie to wipe it on the inside so it doesn't get on your fingers. Yuck!

I like using caulk for that instead of glue since its replaceable and doesn't fog the plastic like cyno's do.

If you can't carefully get a gap, you could tape them?

I personally would replace it. However, you should be able to just put a thin layer of glue/silicone over the crack and that should fix it without constricting it.

What kind of tape would you recommend? Just curious.
There is a water-proof Gorilla Tape, but it is rather difficult to use (speaking from experience). However, I was using it on much bigger leaks than what is shown in the OP's photo, so maybe it would be fine for fixing the tubes.

One other thought is that the water-proof Gorilla Tape is not all that inexpensive so might cost as much or more than simply getting new tubes.

Home Depot has it for about $15:

Thank you all for your ideas and suggestions! I'm grateful to have several reasonable options to try! :)
