IMO - Lowes sells Sphagnum peat moss from premiere for $11. I'm going to use that with a top cover of cypress mulch from petco.

The sphag keeps moisture well. The top layer keeps things a little cleaner for ME. Some people dont like all the mess that comes along with dirt. Some people can handle it. Cypress mulch also keeps moisture pretty well.

Yes, I buy the Premier Sphagnum peat moss for my lil' ones at Lowes. It's $11.99 here (went up $1.75 recently). I also buy the Sphagnum long-fibered moss that is also in the garden center for $4.18 for a huge amount and I put that in the humid hide boxes.

I know the premier sphagnum is available at lowes but I never noticed the long-fibered moss there. I should check that out.

I just found a thread where Tom recommended Garden Bark Pathway Bark. It looks perfect but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone knows where I could purchase some I would be forever grateful.

Thanks again!
