My baby sulcata took a few hours to start eating. Maybe try and give your little guy a warm soak to boost his appetite. Also try leafy greens. Sometimes they will eat those over anything else.
Temps are warm side low 80s cool side 75 basking 95 and hide box is at 70 I've been offering zoomed grassland because that is what the pet store has been feeding it for the 3 weeks it was with them I offered it Bermuda grass also. I'm houseing it in a open top plastic storage bin with coconut husk bedding the hide has moist moss I also sprinkle Timothy hay around the enclosure and I have been soaking him
Your temps are too cool. I'd go around 10 degrees warmer all around. 70 in a damp hide is dangerously cool for a baby in my opinion.
Is your substrate dry? it is difficult to maintain any humidity with dry substrate, but damp substrate will cause your hay to mold. I would skip the hay until he's a little older. Either that or find a way to blend it up into almost a powder and just sprinkle a little onto his food. Grass hay is a great sulcata food, but its more for older bigger ones.
Many babies won't eat plain ZooMed either. Mine won't anyway. Try mixing some soaked ZooMed with some spring mix or other leafy greens from the store, if you can't find enough weeds where you are. I'm not a huge fan of grocery store greens, but they will work if you can't find enough other good stuff. But dry hay and plain ZooMed usually is not going to be enough for a baby.
What are some good weeds I tried giving cactus it didn't seem to want it but I live in south Texas deep south so some of the weeds from up north wont grow here
Dandelion, clover, turnip greens, kale (dandelion, turnip greens, and kale are all available at whole foods if you are out of natural options). All of these are very palatable for a small tortoise, and very healthy to feed. Make sure the clover is not from a park/area that sprays.
