So we bought 2 sulcata tortoises last April. I was told they were 7 months old when we bought them so that makes them a little under 2. It seems one is growing like a monster and the other....not so much? What's going on? Is one a boy and one a girl? Please let me know....thanks.

Maybe the one is too powerful so that in the cage the big one sort of bullying the small which makes him can't move. My guess

Yep, if they are together, this is bullying. They need to be seperated asap. The big one is basically starving the other of the best food, light, and hiding spots. Torts are solitary & do not do well in pairs. As soon as you get that lil guy his own space you will see growth.

Bullying does not necessarily mean physically, in tortoises it's mental and some shoving. But it happens more often than not, they need to be separated.
